The Mandela Washington Fellowship is just one example illustrating Africa’s rising opportunity to impact the world in a manner that would reflect its richness in diversity. 2017 Mandela Washington fellows at the University of Wisconsin–Madison invite the Madison and wider Wisconsin community to a mini conference, celebrating strong African cultures and traditions through African-inspired entertainment.

The conference brings together 25 young African leaders from 20 African countries and Wisconsinites to reflect, connect, learn, and network. The conference will provide a vibrant platform for new thinking about a global Africa through interactive sessions (TED-style talks and panel discussion).
