To create a greater appreciation of the legitimacy and vibrancy of African cultures and of the capacity of African traditions to speak to universal human aspirations and dilemmas

To have UW–Madison students, with input of faculty and staff, engage in global diversity outreach to hundreds of elementary school children across Wisconsin.

To encourage students of African origin to take pride in the oral literary tradition of African culture, and share it enthusiastically in the form of storytelling, African style

To promote a “visual” mode of teaching young children

To act as UW–Madison student ambassadors to “future Badgers”
