SESSION IV
SATURDAY, MARCH 26, 1:00pm-2:15pm (75 minutes)
Memorial Union, Round Table Room, 3rd Floor
Ernie Zaremba
Tanganyika 1964-1966
(and others)
This will be a 3 part film presentation and discussion:
The purpose of this presentation is to inspire, encourage and facilitate more and more reunions between RPCVs and Host Country Nationals.
There is a growing movement for RPCVs, especially as they move into their “retirement” years, to not just sit back in their rocking chairs but to be a “living link” between nations.
This is “high tech” and “high touch” coming together.
Bring your stories to this presentation as the sharing of stories is a major part of this presentation.
Upon returning from Tanzania, Ernie Zaremba earned his PhD in Psychology at the University of Michigan. He went on to teach for over 30 years at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan.Since his retirement in 2000, he has been on the road ( å la Charles Kuralt) across the USA, in his RV making and collecting videotaped stories of RPCVs talking about their Peace Corps experiences. He has also made 3 trips back to Tanzania in the last 3 years conducting reunions and collecting stories. His next trip back to Tanzania to conduct an RPCV - Host Country National Reunion will be in May 2011.
