Honor Harold Scheub

A campaign to support students

Professor Harold Scheub retired at age 81 after teaching his famous African Storyteller course for 43 years.

Whether your memories of Harold Scheub are as a spellbinding storyteller, a mind-changing intellect, or a classroom taskmaster, please join us in honoring him by contributing to a fund in his name. The fund will support students in African Languages and Literature.

UW students have been at the center of Harold’s life for over four decades.

Alumni-supported student fellowships in his name will be just the right way to celebrate his enrichment of the lives of so many of us.

To help, follow these simple steps:

1. Go to the African Studies Program UW Foundation page
2. In the Honorary / Memorial Gifts box, click “yes”
3. Select “honor,” and type Harold Scheub (no need to fill in the honoree’s address).

A thousand contributions of $10, $50, or $100 will be a fitting tribute to Professor Scheub. Of course larger donations will be gratefully accepted.

If for any reason, including anonymity, you prefer to deal directly with the UW Foundation, please contact Ann Lippincott, Managing Development Program Director by phone at 608-308-5320 or by email at ann.lippincott@supportuw.org  – Refer to African Studies Program Gift Fund 1201154.
