Children’s African Story Hour
The African Studies Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in collaboration with the Madison Public Library and the African Center for Community Development, is proud to present the Children’s African Story Hour. Join us every other Monday between the hours of 2:30-3:30pm or 4-5pm (depending on the library) in a fun and relaxing atmosphere as we share award-winning children’s literatures that celebrate the diversity of art, culture, food, and language across the African continent. Participants will engage in hands-on creative activities and will have the opportunity to sample different African cuisines. Each week promises to be fun and enriching!
We also offer custom programming to schools/libraries. Contact outreach@africa.wisc.edu for enquiries.
For fall 2024/spring 2025 school year, we will have the Children’s African Story Hour at Pinney Library (516, Cottage Grove Rd) and Goodman South Madison Library (2222, S Park St). Check out our event line up below.
