Each year, the Language Institute publishes the World Languages Almanac, which provides up-to-date information on language course opportunities for advising units across campus and is especially useful during SOAR.
Advisors and students report that the booklet is a very valuable tool for finding out about the university’s language offerings, according to Michael Kruse, the international directions advisor of the Language Institute.
The Almanac provides useful information on language programs, various language-learning resources and features all five African languages–Arabic, Hausa, Swahili, Yoruba and Zulu.
The 2014 printed booklet is ready and will be available to advising units at SOAR.
Additionally, the PDF version is available on the Language Institute website here, along with further information on 2014-15 language courses at UW-Madison.
