Bushmeat hunting affects health and biodiversity

UW-Madison researchers interviewed hunters and non-hunters in Southeast Nigeria to better understand disease transmission between people and wildlife.
Their article, “Drivers of Bushmeat Hunting and Perceptions of Zoonoses in Nigerian Hunting Communities,” written by Sagan Friant, Sarah Paige, and Tony Goldberg, was just published in the journal PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases.
