The African Studies Program and the Holtz Center present “One Health and History in Africa,” a lecture series.
The series will consist of two lectures presented by James Fairhead of the University of Sussex and Guillaume Lachenal of the Université Paris Diderot.
James Fairhead will present on “The Cryptic Origins of Ebola: Science and Narratives of Spillover in Meliandou.” His lecture will be followed by a round table discussion with Jens Kuhn and James Pettitt of the National Institutes of Health Integrated Research Facility.
Guillaume Lachenal will present on “When Doctors Were Kings: Exploring the Remains of a Colonial Medical Utopia in East Cameroon.”
