ASA Graduate Student Workshop

The Emerging Scholars Network, a coordinate organization of the African Studies Association (ASA), is hosting an all-day workshop ahead of ASA’s Annual Meeting in Philadelphia on November 16. The workshop will focus on alternative careers for those with degrees related to African Studies. The workshop is free, but participants must be registered for the conference. There are a handful of spaces still available. Details on how to register are below.

 

Join us for a facilitated pre-conference workshop Wednesday, November 16 from 8:00am – 4:00pm at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. Refine your resume, identify exciting job opportunities, and hone your non-academic interview skills. Breakfast, lunch, networking time, and digital resources included.The 2022 Professionalization and Career Training (PACT) Workshop organized by the ASA’s Emerging Scholars Network (ESN) still has seats available! To reserve your spot please email emergingscholars@africanstudies.org as soon as possible.

After the workshop, join us for our first-ever SportsAfrica Trivia Night from 6:00-8:00pm! Enjoy snacks and beverages while you and your table answer trivia questions for prizes. All registrants welcome.
