Description

Twenty years ago, a little known, underfunded and unincorporated, two-person ‘NGO’ called African Rights (AR) surprised with its massive and detailed reports on the Rwandan genocide. On the basis of interviews with former AR collaborators, RPF defectors, journalists and diplomats, Reydams shows that these reports were produced with substantial help from the Rwandan Patriotic Front and that African Rights gradually became an RPF front. He also considers their impact on the narratives of the Rwandan drama and on international criminal justice.
