The Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad program (DDRA) is a federally funded grant program and is open to graduate students who are U.S. citizens enrolled in a US university and who will be conducting dissertation field research abroad. Graduate students must show strong area studies related course work at the graduate level to be considered competitive.
According to the US Department of Education DDRA site, applications will be available in February and there will be a national deadline in April. There will be a mandatory campus deadline that will be approximately 2 weeks before the national deadline. The campus deadline cannot be set until the national deadline is published.
The grant will be published on the Federal Register first, so interested students should check this site regularly.
