The African Studies Program is sad to report the death, at age 94, of the African Studies Program’s founding Assistant Director Marj Harris who was known for her administrative competence, sharp mind and devotion to ASP.
To a considerable degree, ASP as an academic unit and as a social world thrived during its formative years because of Marj. We invite anyone who knew Marj to send a brief tribute to asp@africa.webhosting.cals.wisc.edu for possible posting on a tribute page on the ASP website
