Africa Fest is an annual event organized by the African Association of Madison to celebrate and share African traditions and cultural heritage with the greater Madison area. For over a decade, this family friendly community-based cultural event has featured musicians, artists, performers, crafts, food, fashion, and scholars to demonstrate, present, and discuss the cultural traditions of African immigrants.

This event is scheduled for Saturday, August 19th from 10am-10pm at McPike Park, 202 S. Ingersoll Street, Madison, WI.
The African Studies Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is a proud supporter of Africa Fest 2023! We are hosting a booth at the venue to interact with participants and provide information about our programs at UW-Madison campus. We will also have flags for all 54 African countries for picture taking. Please stop by to say hello!
