The Contemporary International Relations Association (CIRA)

Who We Are & What We Do-

The Contemporary International Relations Association (CIRA) is a student-led organization dedicated to inspiring global awareness through policy dialogue and academic research. We foster a collaborative community in which students strengthen their research, communication, and professional skills to navigate an increasingly interconnected world. CIRA is organized into four Regional Centers: The Americas, Europe & Eurasia, Africa & the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. These centers offer students an environment to explore pressing regional issues.

Our programming features weekly meetings, social events, guest speaker panels, and professional activities. At the end of each semester, we hold a flagship academic conference where members present original research to peers, faculty, and professionals.

Meeting Times & Locations-

CIRA’s weekly meetings are held on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm in Ingraham Hall #206 (unless mentioned otherwise)

Our additional speaker panels and professional events are dependent on the schedule of the semesters, please follow our social media to stay updated!
