During this day-long workshop co-hosted by the School for International Training (SIT), participants will discuss existing opportunities for study abroad in Africa, as well as real and perceived challenges as they pertain to student interest, academic support, and health and safety. Significant time will be allotted to reflection and discussion so that participants can share ideas and best practices for on-campus programming, program development, and student advising to help students experience the region’s academic excellence, rich cultural diversity, and transformative experiences. This day-long workshop is open to staff, faculty, and graduate students.
