The Department of Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature, College of Liberal Arts, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position beginning fall semester 2018 (08/27/2018).
Appointment will be 100%-time over the nine-month academic year (late-August to late-May). Appointment will be at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor.
A Ph.D. in Comparative Literature or related field is required, as well as a specialization in Comparative Literature or a related discipline, with a focus on West African and/or Sub-Saharan African literatures and cultures. Knowledge of the history and theory of Comparative Literature and its relation to the history of colonialism is essential.
