The African Studies Program is seeking two teaching assistants for African 277: An Introductory Survey in Fall 2019. This interdisciplinary course is cross-listed in African Cultural Studies, Afro-American Studies, Anthropology, Geography, History, Political Science, and Sociology. The appointment level of this position is 50%, including tuition remission.

The instructor for African 277 is Neil Kodesh, and the course will be held Tuesdays and Thursday from 9:30-10: 45am. Applicants must be UW-Madison graduate students in good standing, making normal progress toward a degree, specializing in the study of Africa in any department, with life and preferably research experience in Africa. Applicants must be free to attend all lectures, lead four discussion sections weekly, keep the grade book, assist with all grading, and to carry out other duties as expected of teaching assistants.
