The German and Dutch Graduate Student Association would like to invite you to join them in welcoming Ezé Wendtoin , winner of the 2015 “Afrika-Sonderpreis,” to campus this September. Wendtoin is from Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso who now lives in Dresden, Germany. His music protests and works against racism and xenophobia.
On September 20, Wendtoin will give three workshops in Van Hise 1418 at 9:55 am, 11:00 am, 12:05 pm. The workshops will engage the audience in learning German and address topics of diversity and inclusivity through music. They are open to the campus community. That evening, he will play a concert at 6:30pm at The Sett at Union South. The concert is free of charge and open to the public.
