New and Now Open: Peace Corps in Kenya

Peace Corps is returning to Kenya! The program closed in 2014, but the office remained in place while the government of Kenya and the Peace Corps office worked on details for reopening.

Peace Corps’ efforts in Kenya will focus on math, science and deaf education. Once in Kenya, volunteers will undergo three months of comprehensive cultural, language and technical training before they are given their assignments to serve for two years. The first Peace Corps volunteers to serve after the suspension of the post will arrive in late 2020. Available positions can be found  here.

There are currently 23 positions available in the Education sector. The application deadline is January 1, but apply early! They all depart for service in September 2020. Contact the campus recruiting office if you’d like help with your resume or motivation statement, or would like more information about these or other Peace Corps opportunities.
