
Dr. Dorothy Amenuke designed, hand-printed, and dyed hundreds of yards of batik yardage in Kumasi, Ghana.
Dr. Amenuke is a faculty member, sculptor and textile artist. She teaches sculpture in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at KNUST, as well as conducts workshops internationally. Her work is exhibited and is collected internationally, most recently by the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
The fabrics will be on display at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery Image Lab through June. The exhibit has been organized by Lynda Berry, Professor of Interdisciplinary Creativity, and Professor Mary Hark, Design Studies.
