CALS Global and its partners are excited to announce Global Day 2020! The theme this year is “HEARTH: Health, Ecosystems and Agriculture for Resilient, Thriving Societies”. The event is scheduled for April 22 from 1:00-5:00 pm and will include a welcome, speakers, poster session, photo contest, reception, and awards ceremony.
UW faculty, staff, and students are invited to present a poster describing their projects which contribute to HEARTH concepts: biodiversity conservation, health, food security, governance, economic development and livelihoods, water supply and sanitation, education, modern energy solutions, forest management and restoration, and climate resilience.
We seek contributions that focus on basic and applied research, education and outreach, and/or other aspects of international development. Up to three $500 awards will be offered to one lead author for each selected poster.
Posters will be judged based on content, appearance and presentation. Award recipients will be featured on the CALS Global website and other possible media outlets.
If you have questions, please contact Julia Frangul, 890-1413, julia.frangul@wisc.edu
